Peace and quiet is the name of the game at Mitzelos Villas. For all its serenity, though, you are not far from civilization, with both Evangelitstria Monastery and Skiathos Town close by.
Evangelistria is a bit of a recluse. It’s a quiet village perched in pine-forested hills on the northeastern edge of Skiathos. At the centre, there’s a working monastery, which is ringed by whitewashed tavernas and a clutch of hotels and villas – and that’s pretty much of it. The restful vibe is its appeal, though the lively capital, Skiathos Town, is only 10 minutes’ drive down the hill.
